Dhaka: BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia today exchanged Eid greetings with the party’s standing committee members as they met her at her Feroza residence in Gulshan in the late evening today. After the meeting, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir shared insights from the gathering.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir expressed the significance of the meeting, highlighting the joy felt by party members. He emphasized Khaleda Zia’s pivotal role in Bangladeshi politics, crediting her leadership with bringing about substantial success and change. He noted that interactions with her inspire party members, who view her as a steadfast advocate for democracy.
Discussing Khaleda Zia’s health, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir assured that she is doing well. Khaleda Zia extended Eid greetings to all attendees and requested prayers for her well-being and for the country.
Present at the gathering were party standing committee members Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, Jamir Uddin Sirkar, Mirza Abbas, Gayeshwar Chandra Roy, Abdul Moyeen Khan, Salahuddin Ahmed, Selima Rahman, Hafiz Uddin Ahmed, and AZM Zahid Hossain. Additionally, party vice chairmen Altaf Hossain Chowdhury, Mohammad Shahjahan, and Abdul Awal Mintoo, along with Chairperson’s Advisory Council members Abdul Halim and Afroza Khanam Rita, also participated in the exchange of Eid greetings.
