Bandarban: The Keokradong hill tourist center in Ruma upazila has reopened its doors to visitors, marking an end to an 18-month closure that was necessitated by anti-terror operations in the hill region. The reopening was celebrated with much enthusiasm and a colorful rally, signaling a return to normalcy for the area.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the rally was organized in Bandarban district town under the initiative of the district administration. Additional Deputy Commissioner Md. Abu Taleb led the proceedings, officially inaugurating the rally in front of the DC's office by releasing balloons. This gesture added to the festive atmosphere of the occasion.
As part of the reopening celebrations, tourist vehicles commenced their journey from Bandarban town to Keokradong at around 9 am, carrying officials from the district administration, tourists from various parts of the country, and other participants eager to explore the scenic beauty of the Keokradong hill tourist center.
