Supreme Court’s Advocate Kazi Rezaul Hossain and Advocate Earul Islam have been elected again as President and Secretary General respectively of the registered political party Bangladesh Congress for the next three years.
The election was held at the party's 3rd national council at the Institution of Diploma Engineers of Bangladesh (IDEB) auditorium on Friday.
Prior, party’s chairman Advocate Kazi Rezaul Hossain along with its Secretary General Advocate Earul Islam inaugurated the council by releasing pigeons at 10:30am.
The first session of the national council was presided by Advocate Kazi Rezaul Hossain where around 700 councilors and more than 1000 leaders and activists of the party from various parts of the country participated.
In the president's speech, the chairman urged the party leaders and activists to strengthen the Bangladesh Congress, said a press release.
Comrade Saiful Huq, General Secretary of The Revolutionary Workers Party of Bangladesh, M Golam Mostafa Bhuiyan, General Secretary of Bangladesh National Awami Party-Bangladesh NAP and other senior leaders from different political party were also present as the guest of honor in the first session of the council.
