Bandarban: The Kathin Chibar Dana, one of the most sacred religious festivals for the Buddhist community, took place today at the Rajguru Moha Boudha Vihara located in Uzanipara of the district. From the early hours, devotees gathered at the temple to engage in various prayers, including Buddha Puja, Sanghadana, Moha Sanghadana, and Astopariskar Dana.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the festival commenced with a colorful rally that started from the temple and paraded through different streets of the town, ultimately concluding back at the temple. In the afternoon, the Robe Offering Ceremony, known as Kathin Chibar Dana, was conducted.
Special prayers were also performed at the monastery, with intentions for national peace and prosperity as well as global harmony.
