Gaibandha: State Minister for Religious Affairs Mohammad Shamim Kaisar Lincoln today declared that the National July Charter would be implemented precisely, emphasizing that the current government is guiding the nation towards development from a previously described ‘bottomless basket’.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the state minister addressed a gathering at the Gaibandha district BNP office, commemorating the 48th founding anniversary of the ruling Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP). He asserted that the government, which was ousted after 17 years in power, had devastated the country’s economy. However, he assured that all issues would be addressed, urging patience among the populace.
Kaisar Lincoln highlighted the BNP’s consistent positive role in the nation’s political history, contrasting it with the negative positions of other political parties during key periods in 1971, 1990, and 2024. He called for unity among BNP leaders and activists in anticipation of the upcoming local government elections, encouraging them to set aside differences to achieve victory.
The anniversary celebration featured a vibrant rally that commenced from the district BNP office and concluded at the Islami High School ground, traversing the town’s main streets. Participants included BNP leaders and activists from various units and affiliated organizations across all seven upazilas of the district.
Speakers at the rally included reserved women’s seat MP Momtaz Alo, BNP Rangpur divisional organizing secretary Aminul Islam, district BNP general secretary Mahmudunnabi Titu, BNP municipality unit president Shahiduzzaman Shahid, and Jubo Dal president Ragib Hasan Chowdhury.
