Junior Scholarship Examination Set to Commence Tomorrow

Dhaka: The Junior Scholarship Examination for Class Eight students is scheduled to begin tomorrow and will continue until December 31.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the examination schedule outlines that tests will be held daily from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. This year’s examinations encompass five subjects, cumulatively carrying a total of 400 marks.



As per the routine, the examination will kick off with Bangla on the first day. The following days will see English on December 29, Mathematics on December 30, and both Science and Bangladesh and Global Studies on December 31. The Bangla, English, and Mathematics examinations will each carry 100 marks and are set for a three-hour duration. Meanwhile, the Science and Bangladesh and Global Studies examinations will take place on the same day, each carrying 50 marks with a duration of one hour and thirty minutes per subject.



Special instructions for the Junior Scholarship Examination require candidates to be seated at least 30 minutes prior to the commencement of the examination. In instances of late arrival due to unavoidable circumstances, candidates may still be permitted entry after documenting the reason in the register.



Examinees are prohibited from bringing mobile phones or any electronic devices into the examination centres. Candidates must accurately fill in their roll numbers, registration numbers, subject codes, and other pertinent details on the OMR answer sheets using a ballpoint pen. The answer sheets must remain uncreased at all times.



Candidates are permitted to use eight models of calculators approved by the education board. Additionally, the use of general, non-scientific calculators is allowed during the examinations.
