Jamalpur: The District Administration on Tuesday afternoon distributed financial assistance among the families of martyrs and injured individuals of the 2024 July Uprising. Jamalpur Deputy Commissioner Hasina Begum, as the chief guest, handed over cheques to 14 martyrs’ families and 19 injured victims at the district conference room.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, each martyr’s family received a cheque of Taka 2 lakh, while each of the injured received Taka 20,000. The event was attended by several prominent figures, including General Secretary of BNP Jamalpur District Unit Advocate Shah Md Waers Ali Mamun, General Secretary of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami District Unit Advocate Abdul Awal, and Convener of the Anti-Indiscriminate Student Movement Meer Ishak Hasan Ekhlas.
The financial assistance aims to support and acknowledge the sacrifices made by the martyrs and the hardships faced by the injured during the memorable uprising. The initiative has been appreciated by the families, providing them with much-needed relief and recognition for their loss and suffering.
