Dhaka: The July Revolution Fencing Championship has commenced at the Shaheed Captain M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium in Dhaka today. Youth and Sports Secretary Mahbub Ahmed attended the event as the chief guest.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the opening ceremony was graced by the presence of several notable figures, including Bangladesh Fencing Federation (BFF) president Major General (retd) Qamrul Islam, general secretary Bosunia M Ashikul Islam, executive member Shofiqur Rahman, and director of the event’s sponsor, Rakson Motor Bikes Limited, Kazi Ashikur Rahman.
Participants in the two-day event include teams from Bangladesh Army, Bangladesh Navy, Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Party, Border Guard Bangladesh, Private Universities, and various clubs. Nearly 175 male and female fencers will compete in three individual events, showcasing their skills and vying for top honors.
