Munshiganj: The Ministry of Liberation War Affairs distributed financial grants to 103 C-category fighters of the July mass upsurge in Munshiganj today. The ceremony took place in the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner’s office.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Munshiganj Deputy Commissioner Fatema-tul Jannat presented checks of Tk 100,000 to each recipient on behalf of the ministry. The event was attended by senior government officials and family members of the July fighters.
Speaking at the event, the Deputy Commissioner stated that the financial assistance aligns with government policy to support those injured during the upsurge. She emphasized that this is not just assistance but also an acknowledgment of their contributions, assuring that the nation will remember them forever.
She also revealed plans to publish a book based on the memories and experiences of the local fighters of the July mass upsurge. During the event, July-Fighters Biplob Hossain and Umme Habiba shared their insights with the audience.
