Dhaka: Cultural Affairs Adviser Mostofa Sarwar Farooki has stated that July represents a strong explosion against discrimination and is a powerful expression of protest. Addressing the inauguration of the four-day July Revival Cultural Fest organized by the Saimum Shilpi Goshti at the Suhrawardy Udyan in the capital, Farooki emphasized the significance of the month of July in the nation’s history.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Farooki highlighted that July serves as a beacon of consciousness and inspiration. He remarked, “On July 24, our youth once again sowed the seeds of liberation in this blood-soaked land.” His speech underscored the historical importance of the July mass uprising, where the youth articulated in a resounding voice that life holds more meaning than succumbing to betrayal and death.

Farooki further expressed that by upholding and nurturing the July slogan, “motherland or death,” the youth have crafted a remarkable narrative of success. He called for unity among all pro-Bangladeshi forces to dismantle the cultural dominance imposed by fascist influences, advocating for the development of native culture.

In addition to Farooki’s address, Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam, speaking as a special guest, emphasized the importance of embracing cultural heritage to overcome Mujibism.
