Jahangirnagar University: Jahangirnagar University authorities have set July 31 as the date for the Jahangirnagar University Central Students’ Union (JUCSU) elections. This announcement was made by JU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. Mohammad Kamrul Ahsan during a late-night press conference held at the council room of the university’s new administrative building.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Prof Mohammad Kamrul Ahsan revealed that an election commission has been constituted to oversee the process, led by Prof Md. Maniruzzaman from the English Department. He further stated that the decision to hold the JUCSU election on the specified date follows the resolution of issues related to the attacks during the July uprising, ensuring that justice is served for the culprits involved.
