Jubo League provides food to 4,47,320 families during Ramadan

Awami Jubo League distributed food items and Eid gifts among 4,47,320 poor and distressed families across the country on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan at the directives of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina had given directives to the party's leaders and workers to refrain from holding Iftar party and distribute the money, which is usually spent for Iftar party, among underprivileged and distressed people.

Responding to the call of Sheikh Hasina, Jubo League Chairman Sheikh Fazle Shams Parash and General Secretary Mainul Hossain Khan Nikhil asked the leaders and workers of the organization to stand by poor people during the Ramadan, said a press release today.

Jubo League distributed cash money as well as food items and Eid gifts.

Food items include rice, dal, edible oil, potato, onion, salt, shemai, sugar and milk.

Jubo League leaders and workers distributed food items and Eid gifts from

first day of Ramadan till 29th Ramadan.

Central Jubo League distributed food items and Eid gifts among 19,000 families. Jubo League General Secretary Mainul Hossain Khan Nikhil in his own initiative distrusted food items and Eid gifts among 25,000 families in Mirpur in the capital and his own district Chandpur.

Dhaka City North Jubo League distributed food items and Eid gifts among 15,000 families, Dhaka City South Jubo League among 12,000 families.

Chattogram South District unit of Jubo League distributed Taka 1,28,50,000 cash money through its different subordinate units of the organization in the area.

Besides, Nilphamari district Jubo League distributed 26 wheelchairs, six rickshaws, 20 sewing machines and 500 pieces of sharee and lungi.

Dhaka district distributed foot items and Eid gifts among 3000 families, Rajshahi city unit among 1300, Rajshahi district among 800, Bogura district 22,000, Pabna district 50,000, Natore district 5,000, Naogaon 6,000, Joypurhat 20,000, Rangpur city 4,000, Rangpur district 3700, Dinajpur district 2200, Manikganj district 2,000, Tangail 4000, Gazipur, 25,000, Mymensingh district 18,300, Sherpur 2000, Netrokona 10,000, Narayanganj city among 2300, Faridpur district among 2000, Gopalganj district among 6100, Patuakhali district among 15,000, Sylhet city among 8000, Sunamganj district among 1600, Khulna city among 1500, Khulna district among 2400, Bagerhat district among 4000, Jashore district among 18,000, Kushtia district among 4000, Meherpur district 4000, Khagrachhari district among 1500, Bandarban district among 350, Chattogram North district 7000, Chattogram city 30,000, Cumilla city 1200, Noakhali district 4500 and Chandpur district among 2000 families.
