JU Vice Chancellor to Visit Pakistan for Academic and Scientific Collaboration

Dhaka: Jahangirnagar University (JU) Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Mohammad Kamrul Ahsan is set to embark on a visit to Pakistan aimed at enhancing academic collaboration and institutional partnerships in higher education, science, and technology.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Acting Director of JU Public Relations Office, Mohammad Mahiuddin, confirmed that the Vice Chancellor is scheduled to leave Dhaka early tomorrow and is expected to return on June 21. This visit has been organized following an invitation from the OIC Ministerial Standing Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation (OIC-COMSTECH), where he will participate in the ‘Special Rectors Meeting for Bangladesh’.



As part of his itinerary, Professor Ahsan will be part of a 10-member delegation that includes vice-chancellors and senior officials from leading public and private universities in Bangladesh. The delegation will tour significant educational and research institutions in Lahore, Islamabad, and Murree.



Mahiuddin further stated that during his visit, the Vice Chancellor intends to sign several Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) to bolster academic and research collaborations. Additionally, Professor Ahsan is scheduled to attend two specialized training sessions titled ‘How to Improve University Rankings’ and ‘Creating an Innovation Ecosystem in Institutions of Higher Learning’.
