Chattogram: The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested Md. Farhad Uddin Majnu, 30, a fugitive accused in 13 cases including murder in various areas in Chattogram. Farhad is the son of late Kamal Uddin of East Shaheed Nagarpur area under Bayezid Bostami police station.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, RAB-7 Senior Assistant Director Mozaffar Hossain confirmed the matter to the media on Saturday afternoon. He stated that Farhad Uddin was arrested in a drive at the said area on Friday night and subsequently handed over to the Bayezid Bostami police for further legal action.
RAB indicated that the accused was apprehended in connection with a case filed at Bayezid Bostami thana in the city. Information has surfaced against him in 13 cases related to murder, sabotage, law and order violations, and drugs at Bayezid Police Station in the port city and Raozan thana in the district.
