Journalist Mahfuz laid to rest

DHAKA, Veteran Journalist and columnist Mahfuz Ullah, who died yesterday at Bumrungrad Hospital in Thailand, was laid to eternal rest with due respect this afternoon at Mirpur Martyred Intellectual Graveyard.

His first namazejanaza was held after Zohr prayers today at Green Road Dormitory JameMosque in the city while second one at Jatiya Press Club (JPC) after Asr prayers.

Awami League Advisory Council member Tofail Ahmed, BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Mahfuz's elder brother Dr Mahbub Ullah, JPC President Saiful Alam, General Secretary Farida Yasmin, JPC former Presidents Muhammad Shafiqur Rahman, MP, and Riaz Uddin Ahmed, BFUJ former president Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury, leaders and members of JPC, Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) and Dhaka Union of Journalists (DUJ) attended the namazejanaza at JPC.
