Jagannath university: Jagannath University (JnU) Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md Rais Uddin formally inaugurated the "Dacoit of Excellence 3.0," an inter-university business case competition, during a ceremony at the university's VC conference room.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Jagannath University Career Club (JnUCC) organized the event to enhance career awareness among students and equip them with skills to address real-life challenges. The club's moderator Md Shafiqul Islam, president A K M Tamim Rahman, General Secretary Rabbani Rasha Ratul, and other club members were present at the inauguration.
Undergraduate students from universities across Bangladesh can participate in the competition. Interested candidates need to complete their registration by September 25, 2026, through the designated link: https://forms.gle/EYiinrXNJb9hscdK6. An offline registration booth is also available at the Sculpture Square on the university campus.
The competition offers a total prize of Taka 235,000 for the 10 finalist teams. The champion team will receive Taka 100,000, while the first and second runners-up will receive Taka 60,000 and Taka 40,000, respectively. The remaining finalist teams will each be awarded Taka 5,000.
The competition will proceed in three stages. Initially, participants will tackle a case-solving task to analyze a business problem and propose solutions. The second stage requires teams to produce an Online Video Commercial (OVC) for a designated product. The final Grand Finale stage involves developing and presenting a new business case solution to a panel of judges. The first and second stages will be conducted online.
Teams must consist of 2 to 4 members, with the option to include students from the same or different universities. A workshop will be held on September 26, followed by Round 1 on September 27, the OVC Round on October 5, 2026, and the Grand Finale on October 16.
