Dhaka: Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) today announced a two-day cleanliness campaign across the country to create public awareness and maintain environmental cleanliness in order to prevent dengue.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, JCD President Rakibul Islam Rakib and General Secretary Nasir Uddin Nasir made the announcement through a press release. The scheduled campaign will occur on September 13 and 14 and will be implemented in all educational institutions nationwide.
The initiative aims to eliminate mosquito breeding sites within educational facilities, ensure comprehensive cleanliness, and foster a safe and healthy learning environment for students. JCD has outlined that this effort is part of a broader three-month Dengue Prevention and Cleanliness Campaign-2026, which will continue to promote public awareness and environmental hygiene to curb dengue outbreaks across the nation.
