Bhola:Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmad Bir Bikram stated that there is no possibility of Sheikh Hasina returning home even in the next 10 years, based on his political experience. He made these remarks while addressing journalists at the district circuit house.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmad criticized the Awami League's time in power, suggesting that it created an environment that prevented honest and neutral individuals from participating in elections. He emphasized the need for a radical reform of the electoral system to allow non-affluent but popular individuals to contest elections.

The Speaker expressed the necessity for the Election Commission to establish a system that enables ordinary people to participate in elections. He further asserted that the upcoming local government elections should be conducted freely, fairly, and impartially, noting that elections have not been held fairly over the last 17 years.

Highlighting the natural gas potential in Bhola, he mentioned that the district has a sufficient amount of gas, which appears to equal the country's current reserves. He expressed hope for more gas reserves in Bhola and stressed that the people of Bhola have the rightful claim to this resource.

After a three-day visit to his constituency Lalmohan-Tazumuddin, the Speaker departed Bhola for Dhaka.
