Tokyo: Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam today stated that Japan is poised to become one of the most important manpower markets for Bangladesh in the near future. He emphasized that Japan will open its doors wide for Bangladeshi workers, provided they receive the necessary training.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Alam made these remarks while speaking to reporters in Tokyo during the second day of Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus’s visit to Japan. The interim government, he noted, has already initiated plans to develop a skilled workforce proficient in the Japanese language.
Alam highlighted that approximately 3,000 Bangladeshi youths have traveled to Japan this year for language training. He expressed optimism that around 10,000 individuals would come to Japan by the end of the year to study Japanese and secure employment opportunities.
Japan is actively seeking to recruit human resources from Bangladesh, Alam remarked. The Bangladesh Embassy in Japan hosted a human resources seminar in Tokyo, where Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus addressed attendees.
He explained that the seminar aimed to inform Japanese companies about the abundance of human resources in Bangladesh and their readiness to work in Japan. A significant number of representatives from Japanese companies attended the seminar, Alam added.
