Jamalpur BNP Protests Genocide in Palestine

Jamalpur: Former Cabinet Secretary and BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s Advisor, ASM Abdul Halim, today strongly condemned the ongoing indiscriminate killings of civilians in Palestine, labeling them a grave violation of human rights. Speaking at a post-rally discussion meeting in the Bottola area of Islampur Upazila, Halim called on the United Nations to take urgent action to stop the violence and work towards establishing lasting peace in the region.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Halim stated, “Peace-loving people across the globe have risen in protest against the genocide being carried out by Israel.” The meeting was part of a broader demonstration organized by Islampur Upazila BNP against the humanitarian crisis in Palestine. The protest rally began at the Islampur College premises and concluded at Bottola area after moving through the main roads.



Several BNP leaders, including Nabi Newaj Khan Lohani Bipul, Joynal Abedin, Rafiqul Islam Tara, Md Biplap Miah, Zakiul Islam, and Mahbubul Alam, also addressed the gathering. They echoed demands for justice and international intervention. The event drew significant local participation, underscoring solidarity with the Palestinian people and condemnation of the continued violence.
