Jamaat’s Abul Kalam Azad Wins Unofficially from Khulna-6

Dhaka: Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Md Abul Kalam Azad has unofficially secured victory from the Khulna-6 constituency in the 13th Jatiya Sangsad Election. Azad garnered a total of 1,50,724 votes, surpassing his nearest competitor, Bangladesh Nationalist Party candidate SM Monirul Hasan, who received 1,24,710 votes.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a referendum held concurrently in the constituency saw 1,76,886 people voting 'Yes', while 94,550 opted for 'No'. The results were announced during a formal briefing at the Referendum and 13th National Parliamentary Election 2026 Results Collection and Dissemination Centre located at Nirbachan Bhaban in Agargaon.
