Chauddagram: Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Nayeb-e-Ameer Dr. Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher today expressed satisfaction over the ongoing electoral environment, stating that their party will accept any result if the election is conducted fairly.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Dr. Taher anticipated around 70 percent voter turnout and shared that positive news is being received from across the country. He emphasized that Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami is prepared to accept any result, provided the election is fair.
Dr. Taher made these comments after casting his vote at the West Dekra Government Primary School center under Alkora Union of Chauddagram, accompanied by his two granddaughters. He mentioned that the election process thus far has been conducted fairly, with the overall situation remaining peaceful apart from a few isolated incidents. He expressed optimism that if voting continues in this manner, the party could potentially win by a large margin.
Reflecting on past election experiences, Dr. Taher noted that he contested from the constituency in 2001 and 2018 with different symbols but faced obstacles in 2018. Regarding the 11-party alliance, he conveyed confidence in the alliance’s prospects in the current election.
Dr. Taher also took the opportunity to exchange greetings with leaders, activists, and general voters present at the polling center, where the atmosphere remained peaceful with a noticeable voter turnout.
