Dhaka: Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General and former lawmaker Professor Mia Golam Parwar today met with Johann Saathoff, Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development of the Federal Republic of Germany. The meeting was part of a reception hosted by the German Embassy in Dhaka to mark Secretary Saathoff’s visit, attended by a wide array of attendees including ambassadors, high commissioners, diplomats, political leaders, retired military officials, senior government representatives, and members of civil society.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the reception was hosted by German Ambassador to Bangladesh Dr. Rdiger Lotz and Ivana Lotz, with Mia Golam Parwar in attendance as an invited guest. During their meeting, Parwar extended his best wishes for the happiness, peace, and prosperity of Germany’s government and people. He also expressed optimism about strengthening the bilateral trade and diplomatic relations between Bangladesh and Germany in the future.
