Dhaka: A meeting of the central executive committee of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami was held today. Members of the central executive body attended the meeting, with Nayeb-e-Ameer Professor Mujibur Rahman in the chair, said a press release here.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the committee called on the interim government to provide a legal foundation for the July National Charter 2025 to facilitate its implementation. Furthermore, to ensure a free, fair, and transparent national election, the committee urged the government and the Election Commission to install CCTV cameras at every polling center.
Jamaat leaders suggested that this measure would help prevent vote fraud, enable public monitoring of the election process, and restore voter confidence.
