Dhaka: Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has declared a two-day programme to commemorate the Independence and National Day. According to a press release, the party will hold a discussion meeting at 3 pm at the Jatiya Press Club (JPC) on March 25. Jamaat Ameer and opposition leader of the Jatiya Sangsad, Dr Shafiqur Rahman, will participate in the programme as the chief guest.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, on March 26, the national flag will be hoisted at the Jamaat-e Islami central office. Concurrently, a discussion meeting and doa mahfil will be conducted at all levels within the party. As part of the state programme, party chief Dr Shafiqur Rahman is also scheduled to pay tribute to the martyrs of the Independence War at the National Mausoleum in Savar in the morning.
