Dhaka: Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives and Youth and Sports Adviser Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan emphasized the vital role of Islamic scholars during the country's critical periods. Addressing the 'International Kerat Conference' at Hajaribagh Park in Dhaka, organized by Jameya Islamia Darul Huq Madrasha, Bhuiyan stated that the contribution of Islamic scholars is essential in realizing people's rights and supporting democratic movements.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Bhuiyan highlighted that the nation's progress is intertwined with the involvement of Islamic scholars. He stressed the importance of progressing alongside scholars in all future initiatives, including social and moral leadership and service to religion. Furthermore, he advocated for the organization of kerat conferences nationwide to foster morality, unity, and a religious atmosphere among the youth, encouraging them to engage with the Quran.
The conference, presided over by noted scholar Maulana Tavir Ahmed Siddiqui, saw participation from esteemed Islamic scholars such as Quari Ahmed Bin Yusuf Ajhari, Quari Mahdi Golam Nezad from Iran, Quari Sheikh Ahmed Al Zahri from Egypt, Quari Nazir Asgar from the Philippines, and Quari Anwarul Hasan Shah Bhukhari from Pakistan. The event concluded with the distribution of turbans to hafez students.
