Dhaka: Religious Affairs Adviser Professor Dr. AFM Khalid Hossain emphasized the role of Islamic literature in providing guidelines for social reforms during a recent event at the Jatiya Press Club. The occasion marked the unveiling of two books and included an Ifter Mahfil organized by Saliha Publications.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Dr. Khalid Hossain highlighted the significance of guiding daily life in accordance with the Holy Quran and Hadith. He stated, “We must illuminate our family life and social life together through these teachings,” underscoring the collective responsibility to incorporate Islamic principles into everyday life.
Dr. Hossain also pointed out that 64,000 Imams in Bangladesh have received training from the Imam Academy. He expressed the desire to honor those who have contributed to Islamic literature by writing or translating essential books on the ‘Serate Rasul’ (PBUH) with awards, thus encouraging further scholarship and dissemination of religious knowledge.
The event was chaired by Saliha Publications President Md. Humayun Kabir Chowdhury. During the proceedings, Dr. Hossain unveiled a religious book as well as his own work, ‘Dr AFM Khalid Rachona Samogra,’ contributing to the rich tapestry of Islamic literature aimed at social betterment.
