Users of the online photo-sharing and social networking service Instagram are reporting issues with the app.
Popular social media app users have shared that the app keeps crashing or closing abruptly.
Meta-owned Instagram lets users take pictures, apply filters to them and share those pictures in several ways, including through social networks such as Twitter and Facebook. It is available as an application for iPhone, iPad, and Android devices.
One user took to Twitter to say: “Instagram seems to be crashing or my accounts have been disabled.” Another user also shared his experience with the seemingly crashing app.
According to Downdetector, the problems started at around 13:08GMT. More than 7,288 reports were found on Downdecetor at the time of filing this report.
Downdetector only reports an incident when the number of problem reports is significantly higher than the typical volume for that time of day.
However, Instagram did not confirm if there is any outage with the app.
