Tehran: Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei announced on Monday morning that there are currently no discussions with the United States regarding Tehran's nuclear programme. He emphasized that Iran's immediate priority is to bring an end to the ongoing conflict.
According to United News of Bangladesh, Baghaei, speaking at a weekly news conference, asserted that Iran would independently decide when it is necessary to address issues related to its nuclear activities. He reiterated, 'We know when it is necessary to act on nuclear matters,' while confirming that no negotiations have taken place concerning the details of the nuclear file.
The spokesman further accused the United States of violating a ceasefire, warning that Iran would undertake any measures deemed necessary to protect its national security. These remarks were made following a statement from the US military about conducting attacks on Iranian radar and drone facilities in the city of Goruk and on Qeshm Island over the weekend. The United States described these operations as 'self-defence strikes.'
