Investment Summit a ‘Milestone’ in Bangladesh’s Economy: Jamaat

Dhaka: Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has termed the Bangladesh Investment Summit 2025, concluded here today drawing a huge number of foreign investors alongside local ones, a 'milestone' in the country's socio-economic advancement.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, MD Mobarak Hossain, Executive Committee Member of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, expressed his admiration for the speech delivered by the BIDA Executive Chairman. Speaking at a press conference at Hotel Intercontinental on the final day of the Summit, Hossain noted that the Chairman's address effectively attracted global investors by assuring them of profit and a business-friendly environment.

Mobarak, accompanied by other party members at the briefing, highlighted the party's long-standing advocacy for a discrimination-free Bangladesh with a robust economy. He mentioned the presence of a Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami stall at the Summit, where stall keepers successfully engaged with global investors. "We believe a business-friendly environment has been established in the country, and we hope to have convinced foreign investors of this," he said.

The Jamaat leader further stated that if such a business-friendly environment persists, Bangladesh could emerge among the top 20 countries globally. He emphasized that foreign investors would continue to arrive, paving the way for the development of new and large business sectors in the country.
