DHAKA- Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu today called for exercising workers friendly politics and economy to build discrimination free society.
"We will have to make united efforts to protect the rights of workers," he told a rally of Jatiya Sramik Jote in front of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JASOD) office at Bangabandhu Avenue this morning.
The JASOD president also placed a six-point demand including bringing workers of non-institutional sector under Labour Act, making wage up-to-date with markets, ensuring safety, complete implementation of Labour Act, equal wage of women and men in same works and ensuring rights of trade union.
Inu also urged all workers, employees, laborers and people of all strata of life to be united against terrorism and militancy.
"Terrorist group is top enemy of the country, women and workers," he said.
Sramik Jote president Shirin Akhtar presided over the rally.
