Dhaka: The three-day “International Security and Safety Expo-2025” is scheduled to commence in Dhaka tomorrow, creating an opportunity for local manufacturers, suppliers, importers, along with software and cyber security entrepreneurs, to connect with representatives from leading international technology companies. Chief Adviser’s Special Assistant on Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Faiz Ahmad Taiyeb is expected to inaugurate the expo on Thursday morning at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in the capital. The event will run until Saturday, as stated in a press release.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, following the inauguration, a Business-to-Business (B2B) session will take place, linking international technology firms with Bangladeshi manufacturers, suppliers, importers, software developers, financial institutions, and cyber security entrepreneurs. A significant feature of the expo is the “International Occupational Safety, Health and Fire Expo (IOSHFE)”, showcasing advanced solutions including workplace fire-fighting systems, surveillance equipment, smart monitoring tools, health and fire safety technologies, cyber security platforms, personal protective equipment (PPE), CCTV systems, and other safety-related innovations.

Bangladesh Computer Samity (BCS) President Mohammad Zahirul Islam commented on the rapid industrialisation, infrastructure expansion, and urbanisation in Bangladesh, emphasizing the necessity of upgrading security systems to match this growth. He noted that the expo provides a platform for aligning domestic needs with global solutions, facilitating collaboration among top technology companies, policymakers, and experts.

Managing Director of I-Station Limited Madhu Sudan Saha highlighted the accelerating pace of technological advancement and accompanying se
