International Computing Conference to Commence at Dhaka University

Dhaka:The 3rd International Conference on Computing, Applications, and Systems will begin tomorrow at Dhaka University. This two-day event is organized by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) of Dhaka University and the IEEE Computer Society Bangladesh Chapter.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the conference will bring together researchers, academics, students, and industry professionals to discuss the latest advancements in computing and their real-world applications. The details were shared today at a press conference in the DU CSE Department.

The inaugural ceremony will take place at 900 am at the Abdul Karim Sahitya Bisharad Auditorium of Bangla Academy. DU Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration) Prof Dr Mohammed Almujaddade Alfasane will be the chief guest, and Treasurer Prof Dr M Jahangir Alam Chowdhury will serve as the special guest. Prof Dr Md Abdur Razzaque, the CSE Department Chairman and General Chair of the conference, will preside over the ceremony.

The conference received 616 research paper submissions, with 212 accepted, resulting in an acceptance rate of around 34.4 percent. The research tracks include intelligent systems, natural language processing, visual computing, data analysis, cyber-physical and edge systems, distributed systems and security, and quantum computing technologies.

Technical sessions are scheduled at the DU CSE Department, with keynote and plenary sessions at Bangla Academy. The conference will conclude with a closing ceremony at 630 pm on October 10 at the Abdul Karim Sahitya Bisharad Auditorium of Bangla Academy.
