Kushtia: The Department of Accounting and Information Systems (AIS) at Islamic University (IU), in collaboration with the Bangladesh Accounting Association, observed International Accounting Day in a festive manner. The celebration included a rally that took place on campus, highlighting the significance of accounting in the global economy. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the rally was led by Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Nakib Muhammad Nasrullah and commenced from the BBA faculty. It traversed the main roads of the campus before concluding back at the starting point. The event saw active participation from Dean of the BBA faculty, Professor Dr. Shelina Nasrin, AIS department chairman Professor Dr. Jakir Hossain, along with Professors Dr. Mizanur Rahman, Dr. Abu Sina, Dr. Kazi Akhtar Hossain, Dr. Abdus Sabur, Dr. Ruhul Amin, and students of the department. During the event, Dr. Shelina Nasrin emphasized the role of accountants in promoting transparency in the global economy and acknowledged the co ntributions of individuals involved in this transformative journey.
