DHAKA: Adviser for Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain stated that the interim government has assumed the responsibility of executing state reforms in alignment with the aspirations of the country’s citizens.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Asif emphasized the growing public demand for state reforms following the student-led mass uprising that resulted in the fall of the autocratic government. He shared these insights during a meeting with Assistant Secretary-General Prof Luis Gabriel Franceschi, who paid a courtesy visit to Asif at his ministry conference room.
The adviser expressed that the citizens of Bangladesh are unified in their support for the government’s efforts to implement state reforms aimed at building a new Bangladesh. The press release mentioned the commonwealth assistant secretary-general’s assurance of support to the interim government in these endeavors.
Additionally, Prof Franceschi commended the Bangladesh Women Football Team for
their recent triumph in the SAFF Championship. The meeting was attended by youth and sports secretary Md Rezaul Maksud Zahedi and acting secretary of LGRD division Md Nazrul Islam. Prof Franceschi is on a four-day visit to Bangladesh to engage with various dignitaries of the interim government.
