Dhaka: BNP Standing Committee member Major (retd) Hafiz Uddin Ahmed Bir Bikram has expressed hope that the interim government will soon arrange elections, emphasizing the necessity of an elected government to restore democracy in the country. He made these remarks during a view exchange meeting with leaders and workers of the Upazila, Union, and college Chhatra Dal.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Hafiz Uddin highlighted that the BNP is committed to restoring the people’s voting rights and democracy. He noted that over 2,000 BNP leaders and activists have lost their lives in the fight to achieve this goal. The meeting underscored the ongoing struggle and the party’s dedication to bringing about democratic changes.
