Dhaka: An infant was killed in a road accident in Shivbari Circle at Nakla upazila of the district today. The deceased was five-month-old Habiba Nur Riana, daughter of Hanif Uddin of Pipri village of the upazila.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the accident occurred when a battery-run auto-rickshaw collided head-on with a battery-run auto-van in the area, leaving Riana and her mother Rupali Begum injured critically. Locals rescued them and sent them to Nakla Upazila Health Complex where the duty doctors declared Riana dead.
A case has been filed in this connection.
