Dhaka: Independent candidate Z. M. Rezwanul Haque has won from the Dinajpur-5 constituency in the 13th national parliamentary election. He secured a total of 114,484 votes, surpassing his nearest rival, NCP candidate Md. Abdul Ahad, who received 110,195 votes.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the results were announced unofficially at the Result Collection and Dissemination Centre at Nirbachan Bhaban in Agargaon. The announcement marks a significant victory for Haque as an independent candidate in a closely contested race.
