Chattogram:Authorities in Chattogram confiscated 120,050 kilograms (120.05 tonnes) of government-owned red wheat from United Flour Mills during a raid in the Nasirabad area under Bayezid Police Station. The mill was fined Taka 3 lakh for illegally storing the wheat and lacking a proper operating license.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the joint operation was conducted by SRB-7 Chattogram on Saturday night, in collaboration with an Executive Magistrate and the Directorate General of Food.

The action was taken following reports of traders unlawfully hoarding government food grains and operating without necessary permits. The seizure of the wheat and the fine were imposed immediately by a mobile court on-site.

Legal proceedings regarding the confiscated wheat and the imposed fine are currently underway. Authorities have stated that such mobile court operations will persist to prevent further illegal stockpiling of government food resources.
