Dhaka: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Baharul Alam today visited the individuals who sustained injuries during the Anti-Discrimination Students Movement at the National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedic Rehabilitation (NITOR) in the city. The IGP engaged in conversations with the injured, inquiring about their treatment progress and discussing their condition with the on-duty physicians, as stated in a release from the police headquarters. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the IGP expressed gratitude for the contributions of those involved in the July-August uprising, acknowledging that the nation is now enjoying freedom due to their courageous actions. Many of the injured took the opportunity to share their thoughts and experiences with the IGP, who listened attentively. He assured them that the cases previously filed regarding these unfortunate incidents would be investigated promptly. The IGP emphasized that Bangladesh police are dedicated to meeting the aspirations of the populace, ali gning with the expectations of students and citizens alike. During his visit, NITOR Director Professor Dr. Md. Abul Kenan, alongside concerned doctors and senior police officials, was present to accompany the IGP.
