Dhaka: Agriculture, Fisheries and Livestock and Food Minister Mohammad Amin Ur Rashid emphasized that with proper guidance and support for students, the nation can develop a competent, humane, and skilled generation. He made these remarks as the chief guest during a program at Newra M.I. High School ground on the occasion of Martyrs’ Day and International Mother Language Day.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the event saw the distribution of school bags to meritorious primary-level students, an initiative by the Haji Md. Zahirul Islam Foundation. The minister stressed the importance of providing necessary educational materials and a supportive environment beyond textbooks for students to advance with confidence.
He further noted that contributions from well-off members of society towards education could lead to positive changes nationwide. Highlighting the significance of the current technology-driven era, he advocated for environments and materials that equip students with the skills needed for global competition.
The event was chaired by social worker Haji Md. Zahirul Islam and was attended by teachers, students, guardians, and local dignitaries.
