Dhaka: The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) today granted the prosecution’s request to interrogate former director general of the National Telecommunication Monitoring Centre (NTMC), sacked Major General Ziaul Ahsan, for a day. The interrogation will focus on genocides and crimes against humanity allegedly committed during efforts to quell the student-led mass uprising in July-August.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the three-judge panel of the ICT, led by Justice Md Golam Mortuza Mozumder, approved the plea filed by Chief Prosecutor Muhammad Tajul Islam.
