Huawei hosts ‘online digital summit 2020’ in Bangladesh

Huawei Technologies (Bangladesh) Limited held ‘Huawei Bangladesh Digital Summit 2020’ through video conference on Monday.

 

The participants from different entities like Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC), Ookla, Windsor Place Consulting discussed and exchanged views on 5G global ecosystem, architecture, spectrum and standardization outlook in the summit.

 

Speakers have emphasized on how the new technologies like 4G, 5G, AI, IoT represent tremendous opportunities for the economy and society.

 

They reiterated the critical role of the telecommunication sector in the battle against the coronavirus.

 

4G/5G networks are emerging not only as of the foundation for advanced communication services but also as the infrastructure supporting socio-economic development and driving industrial digital transformation, the speakers insisted.

General Md Shahidul Alam, PBGMS, Director General, Spectrum Division, BTRC, Vice President of Asia Pacific Region of Huawei, Chen Mingjie (Jay), CEO of Huawei Technologies (Bangladesh) Ltd., Zhangzhen Jun; CTO of Huawei Technologies (Bangladesh) Ltd., Jerry Wang; Scott W Minehane from Windsor; Victor Zeng and Arvin Mogana from Ookla and other officials attended the event.
