HSC and Equivalent Examinations-2025 Commence Across the Country

Dhaka: Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations-2025 began today simultaneously across the country. The exams kicked off with the Bangla 1st paper at 10 am and are scheduled to continue until August 10.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Education Adviser Prof. Dr. Chowdhury Rafiqul Abrar is set to visit the Vashantek Government College centre in the capital at 10:40 am, followed by a visit to the Government Bangla College. This year, a total of 12,51,111 candidates will sit for the examinations.



Of the examinees from 11 education boards, 618,015 are male and 633,096 are female. The General Education Board accounts for 10,55,398 of the candidates. Additionally, 86,102 students will participate under the Madrasa Education Board (Alim), while 109,611 are registered under the Technical Education Board.



This year, the examinations will be held at 2,797 centres nationwide. Furthermore, 293 candidates are expected to take part in the examinations at 8 centres located outside the country. The total number of participating educational institutions is 9,314.



The Ministry of Education has announced that all types of coaching centres will remain closed across the country until August 15 to ensure the smooth conduct of the examinations.
