Sirajganj: A housewife was killed and another injured in a head-on collision between a passenger bus and a rickshaw in the Beera Ghat area of Sirajganj municipal town on Sunday morning. The deceased was identified as Ankhi Khatun, 25, wife of Faruk Hossain of the same area.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, eyewitnesses and police sources reported that the accident occurred around 9:00 am when a bus collided with a rickshaw, leaving rickshaw passenger Ankhi dead on the spot and the rickshaw’s puller injured. The critically injured rickshaw puller was taken to Sirajganj Sadar Hospital for treatment. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sadar Police Station, Md. Shahidul Islam, confirmed the matter.
