Dhaka: BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman today met National Citizen Party (NCP) Convener Nahid Islam: BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman visited the residence of NCP Convener Nahid Islam in the city’s Bailey Road area tonight.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the NCP Convener welcomed the BNP Chairman with a bouquet of flowers. Present during the meeting were BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Standing Committee member Nazrul Islam Khan, NCP Member Secretary Akhtar Hossain, and Chief Organiser for the northern region Sarjis Alam.
The BNP recently achieved a landslide victory in the 13th parliamentary election, with the NCP securing the third-highest number of seats. During a press conference yesterday, Tarique Rahman urged everyone to remain united and emphasized the importance of running the country by involving political parties in building a fascism-free democratic Bangladesh.
