Rajshahi: A young housewife succumbed to her injuries this afternoon while attempting to board a train with the assistance of her husband at Rajshahi Railway Station here.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the deceased has been identified as Rupa Khatun, 23, wife of Muhammad Anik, from Tittarkuri village under Durgapur upazila in the district.
Rony Saha, Sub-inspector of Police at Rajshahi Railway Police Station, stated that Rupa Khatun was trying to board a Dhaka-bound Padma Express train around 4 pm. She fell under the train after losing her husband's support and sustained serious injuries.
She was immediately taken to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital, where the attending doctors declared her dead.
