Holy Shab-e-Barat Observed with Religious Fervour Across the Country

Dhaka: The Holy Shab-e-Barat, known as the night of fortune, was observed throughout the country on Tuesday night with due religious fervour and devotion. The night saw numerous activities and gatherings organized by the Islamic Foundation at the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Islamic Foundation organized a series of religious events including waz (religious sermons), doa-mahfil, special prayers, and recitations from the Holy Quran and Hamd-Naat at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque on Tuesday night. These events were well-attended by devotees who gathered to participate in the spiritual observances.



Religious sermons marking the Shab-e-Barat were delivered at various mosques following the Maghrib prayers. Additionally, special munajat were held after Isha prayers across the country. These activities were aimed at seeking blessings and forgiveness on this significant night in the Islamic calendar.



Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus extended greetings to Muslims in the country and around the world on this auspicious occasion. His message underscored the importance of the night and its spiritual significance for the Muslim community.



A large number of devotees visited nearby graveyards to offer special doa and munajat, seeking eternal peace for the souls of their departed loved ones. The night also saw acts of charity as people distributed money, food, and sweetmeats among the poor and destitute, reflecting the spirit of giving and compassion associated with Shab-e-Barat.
