Dhaka: Health officials today said they recorded 363 fresh cases of dengue onslaughts killing at least three persons in the past 24 hours.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, during the period, of the 363 cases, 88 patients were hospitalised in Barishal division, 50 in Chattogram division, and 70 in Dhaka division excluding the capital. In addition, 56 cases were reported in both Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) and Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) areas. Other affected regions include Khulna division with 16 cases, Mymensingh division with 10 cases, Rajshahi division with 16 cases, and Sylhet division with one case, as stated by a Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) statement.
Since the start of the dengue onslaughts this year, Bangladesh has witnessed 130 deaths while the disease has inflicted 33,309 individuals. In comparison, dengue last year claimed 575 lives and inflicted 101,214 people in the country.
