Narsingdi: Health and Family Welfare Minister Sardar Md. Sakhawat Husain participated in the Eid-ul-Fitr prayers this morning at the Pirpur Eidgah Maidan in Monohardi upazila. After the prayers, the minister took the opportunity to exchange Eid greetings with the attendees and extend his best wishes on this significant occasion.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the minister spoke to journalists about the economic stability during Ramadan, emphasizing that the prices of essential commodities remained stable due to concerted efforts, thus alleviating potential hardships for the public. He noted, "A sense of relief has returned among people."
The minister also reiterated the government's commitment to enhancing public welfare, particularly in the healthcare sector. He assured that ongoing initiatives aim to bring healthcare services closer to the populace. "We will continue to take further measures. We remain engaged in public service at all times, and the government is fully prepared to address any challenges in the health sector," he stated.
In light of the festive occasion, the minister highlighted that improved meals have been provided to hospital patients nationwide, with authorities ensuring their proper distribution.
